Welcome to the RJClearinghouse blog –a vehicle where those practicing or interested in restorative justice may share information and ideas.
This blog, along with the RJClearinghouse, has been a long time coming. The RJClearinghouse began as a collaboration between the Council for Restorative Justice and the Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. The original concept was for a web-based database of information on restorative justice organizations, people, statutes, conferences, and publications with hyper-links when available.
As we populated the database and spoke to RJ professionals around the southeast, it soon became apparent that, while the database would be useful, the field really needs a way for people to connect, share ideas, ask questions and compare programs. The RJClearinghouse blog is the first step.
As the developers of the clearinghouse, we will post articles, ideas and other information periodically. Please check in often, share your own interests and concerns, and let us know what you think.
